DLU strives to ensure that its members are heard and their concerns are voiced.
The members of DLU and the DLU staff are a collective voice representing Downtown Lafayette and comprising the strength and the energy of the downtown core.
DLU works with government officials to protect and voice the interests of its members.
Members of DLU are provided with the opportunity to network with one another through various activities, programs, events and meetings hosted by DLU throughout the year.
Members are encouraged to communicate their concerns about downtown because they are the stakeholders in the future of the city. When the city thrives, they thrive as well.
Members and the partnerships they form are the promise and potential of the city and it is in DLU’s interests to unite these citizens.
Every month, DLU sends a newsletter to all of its members and constituents of Downtown Lafayette.
DLU members have the opportunity to become involved in events hosted by DLU and plans for a revitalized downtown, so there are many ways for members and their organizations to be involved and recognized for their participation.
